About Grand Circle Road Trip
Who Grand Circle Road Trip is for, and where the facts on its maps and routes come from.
- Mapped
Grand Circle Road Trip is for the person with a map spread out and too many parks on it. Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde all sit within a long day of each other, more or less. This site helps you pick the parks for one drive. It also shows which road joins them and which town to sleep in.
Where the facts come from
The parks on this site are run by the National Park Service, and most of our facts come from each park's own pages. Facts about the circuit as a whole come from Visit Utah, the state's official tourism site.
A drive time or a distance appears here only when an official page states it. We never add up legs ourselves. Before any page can use a fact, we check that it is on its source page, word for word. Each guide lists its sources at the end.
What you will not find here
There are no entrance fees, pass prices, opening hours or road closure dates here. They change too often for a page like this to keep up, so we point you to the park's own site for them. You will not find trail guides either. This site stays at the level of the whole trip.
How the pages are written
Software helps draft each page. Checks turn away any claim that is not on our list of sourced facts. A person decides what the site covers and reads what goes live.
What this site is not
Grand Circle Road Trip is an independent guide. It is not the National Park Service, a tour company or a booking site, and nobody paid to be named on it.
